Dr. Rjurik “Rik” Golubjatnikov is a 1954 Millikin Alumni. He graduated with a Biology degree from the College of Arts & Sciences. He is retired from Wisconsin State University where he was the Chief Immunologist in the Laboratory of Hygiene. A world traveler and adventurer, Dr. Rik has visited over 87 countries collecting textile fragments woven and worn by indigenous people from a myriad of cultures and ethnic regions. This exhibition represents the diversity of color, geometric design, pattern, and symbolism reflected in the textiles.
